I test drove this scooter and would like to to report the following:
1) The scooter started on the 1st kick of the kickstart and run smoothly and quetly. (as quitely a you can expect from teh scooter
2) it is a 2 stroke engine but there is little smoke coming out of it, meaning the carb and the engine are working well
3) all electrical works fine except electric start.
4) Headlight is OK, its working fine but more light (brighter) would not hurt
5) The scooter has plenty of juice to cary 2 people up the hill for about a quarter of a mile without a hickup
6) it runs and excellerate fine but sometimes on the light it takes a second to "grab the acceleration" if you know what I mean.
7) Breaks works fine and the choker shuts off the engine right away.
Overall very solid city scooter. Very manuevrable and responcive. Very light if you need to move it into tight spaces for parking yet feels solid when riding it.

I bought my R3i a little while ago and so far I'm happy with it. It's comfortable and fast enough for a 50cc scooter. It will do 45mph on level groung and 30mph uphill. The scooter has disk brakes on the front that is supposed to have the ABS brake system, but it doesn't really feel like it. It's really strong and can lock up the front wheel. Besides that, it's perfect for me. It is probably too small for anyone who's taller than 5'3".

Vento makes great scooters, very nimble and responsive. The frame is on a medium side so perfect for someone less then 6ft tall. The engine is a modern 2 stroke (gas and oil are mixed together) but there are 2 separate tanks meaning you don't have to mix anything. Just pore gas and oil separetly. This scooter has 4100 miles on it but runs great.
